Mind Blindness

The mind is the seat of reflective consciousness, comprising the faculties of perception and understanding, which are feeling, judging and determining. Scriptures that present the mind as the faculty of knowing include: Luke 24:45, Romans 1:28, 14:5, 1 Corinthians 14:15, 19, Ephesians 4:17, Philippians 4:7, Colossians 2:18, 1 Timothy 6:7, 2 Timothy 3:8, Titus 1:15, Revelation 13:18, 17:9. These and other substantiating scriptures testify to God’s word concerning our minds. There is a dulling down, a stunted mindset, even among believers. Study Proverbs 23:7, James 1:5, 2 Timothy 1:7, and find that God does not give us a double mind, nor is God the author of confusion. He gives us a steadfast mind, able to grasp the word of the living God, and to hold on to it through all calamities and spiritual attack.

We invite you to partake of this message delivered by Dr. Dowdy on October 29, 2017, highlighting God’s word from 2 Corinthians 3:14, 4:4.

But their minds were blinded. For until this day the same veil remains unlifted in the reading of the Old Testament, because the veil is taken away in Christ. —2 Cor. 3:14 NKJV

But even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing, whose minds the god of this age has blinded, who do not believe, lest the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine on them. —2 Cor. 4:3–4 NKJV
