Lion of Judah Worship Center

Love is the first fruit of the Spirit! When we received Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, we crossed the river. We left behind the land operating under the law of sin and death; we entered the land of the law of the Spirit of Life! We take time to grow in the nature of God. Love is a seed planted in our hearts—a seed that must grow to bear fruit. Listen to this message delivered by Dr. Dowdy on November 25, 2018, to understand how to operate in the fruit of the Spirit. If we are not operating in the fruits of the Spirit, and we attempt to operate in the gifts, abuse results.

Special Healing Prayer: Lion of Judah Worship Center includes time for Holy Spirit directed healing prayer. The entire service has been separated into three parts. We encourage you to enjoy all three, as a three-course meal!

Healing Prayer:

Galatians 5:22–23

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering [patience], kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law.

Foundation Scripture for LOJWC Ministry:

For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says. Mark 11:23

What We Believe:

We believe in God, the Father, Almighty, and in Jesus Christ, his only begotten Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried. On the third day he rose again according to Scripture. He ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of God the Father, from whence he shall come to judge the living and the dead. We believe in the Holy Spirit, the third person of the God-head, who revealed himself on the day of Pentecost. We believe in the gifts of the Spirit and their continuous operation in the body of Christ. And we believe in one holy, universal, and apostolic church. Amen.

Faith Confession:

We conduct spiritual warfare. It begins with us as we speak God’s word and speak to our bodies, minds, and emotions. Therefore we make a faith confession which says: “Satan, in the name of Jesus, I declare this body a sickness-disease-free zone. Every germ, virus, bacterium, etc., that touches this body dies instantly in the name of Jesus, who bore my sicknesses, carried my diseases, and by whose stripes I have been healed. Therefore I command life into every cell in this body, I receive healing for my emotions from every past embedded hurtful, fearful memory. I speak active deliverance from the law of sin and death, according to the finished works of Jesus the Christ, the anointed and his anointing.

Do you have an urgent need? You don’t have to convince God to do something against His will. Listen to this message delivered by Dr. Dowdy on November 18, 2018, and consider these points:  read the operating manual of life (aka God’s word, the Bible), do what is acceptable in God’s sight, get filled with the word. You need to know what belongs to you as a child of God, so you can stand when all is said and done!

Special Healing Prayer: Lion of Judah Worship Center includes time for Holy Spirit directed healing prayer. Today we focus on healing for mouth diseases and headaches of unknown origins. The entire service has been separated into three parts. We encourage you to enjoy all three, as a three-course meal!

We are to speak the Word! God’s word is not dead, it’s alive. We feed our minds on God’s word. We need to have new minds. We can’t come to God and operate in our old mindset. The old mindset is filled with negativity, doubt, fear, and unbelief. We take the hammer of God’s word and break up the old mindset. Then we plant a new one, we download, install, activate the mind of Christ. We plant the word, the promises of God, so that we can stand on His word, from the time we speak it, to the time we see manifestation. When we draw the power out of Christ, it means that we don’t wait for a miracle to happen, we activate our faith!

Stop going around the same mountain, and concluding that what you asked for is not God’s will! Abide is an action verb that means we “stay rooted and grounded” in Christ! Listen to this message delivered by Dr. Dowdy on November 11, 2018. Be blessed!

We cannot go into battle with someone else’s armor. We have to know to reject the armor of others. Notice the difference in the armor Saul offered David and what God provided. What God offered didn’t look like armor to anyone except David. Your custom-designed armor may not be as unique as David’s, but you must have confidence in God to say no to someone else’s armor. The very first piece of armor we put on is trust in God. We cannot go into battle with someone else’s level of trust. Listen to this message delivered by Dr. Dowdy on November 4, 2018. Be blessed!

1 Samuel 17:38–41

38 So Saul clothed David with his armor, and he put a bronze helmet on his head; he also clothed him with a coat of mail. 39 David fastened his sword to his armor and tried to walk, for he had not tested them. And David said to Saul, “I cannot walk with these, for I have not tested them.” So David took them off.

40 Then he took his staff in his hand; and he chose for himself five smooth stones from the brook, and put them in a shepherd’s bag, in a pouch which he had, and his sling was in his hand. And he drew near to the Philistine. 41 So the Philistine came, and began drawing near to David, and the man who bore the shield went before him.

Overcoming the Sin Nature, Part 3

We would all like to believe that man is basically good. That believe is reinforced by psychologists, counselors, and even some religious leaders. But we still find ourselves doing things that we know are wrong to do, thinking things we shouldn’t think, and saying things we shouldn’t say. The problem is that it is part of our sinful nature. How did we get that nature? When Adam fell. What can we do? We must understand the answer to this question. Listen to this message,  delivered by Dr. Dowdy on October 14, 2018. Key Scriptural basis from Genesis 3:6, Psalms 51:4-5, Matthew 15:19, and James 1:15, 40. Be blessed!

Then the serpent said to the woman, “You will not surely die. For God knows that in the day you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.” So when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree desirable to make one wise, she took of its fruit and ate. She also gave to her husband with her, and he ate. —Genesis 3:4–6 NKJV

Against You, You only, have I sinned,
And done this evil in Your sight—
That You may be found just when You speak,
And blameless when You judge.
Behold, I was brought forth in iniquity,
And in sin my mother conceived me.
—Psalms 51:4–5

Special Note: This message on the origin of the sin nature appears to stop abruptly, but has the essence of understanding what the sin nature is, and how it came into being. To enable us to not forget there is nothing that follows. Let us rather concentrate on giving thanks to God for deliverance from that bondage of slavery. —Pastor Dowdy

Know this Church of the Living God: We can overcome sin, we do not have to continue living in secret sin, we do not have to continue being overrun by the kingdom of darkness. That is not God’s will!
