Lord Teach Us to Change Our Minds

Listen to this message delivered by Dr. Dowdy on December 27, 2015, based on Romans 12:2, “Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasingand perfect will.” (NIV)

We don’t have to acquiesce to fear! We can use God’s word to render fear null, void, and ineffective. Listen to this message delivered by Dr. Dowdy on December 13, 2015, based on 2 Timothy 1:17, “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.” (NKJV)

Faith in Fearful Places

Fear is like carbon monoxide: invisible yet toxic. How can we maintain faith in times of trouble? Listen to this message delivered by Dr. Dowdy on December 6, 2015, based on Romans 8:15, “For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, ‘Abba, Father.'”

The Power of Praise

We are to praise the Lord at all times. Consider the example of Paul and Silas at the midnight hour in prison. “But at midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the prisoners were listening to them. Suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken; and immediately all the doors were opened and everyone’s chains were loosed.” Acts 16:25–26

Psalm 149

Praise the Lord!

Sing to the Lord a new song,
And His praise in the assembly of saints.

Let Israel rejoice in their Maker;
Let the children of Zion be joyful in their King.
Let them praise His name with the dance;
Let them sing praises to Him with the timbrel and harp.
For the Lord takes pleasure in His people;
He will beautify the humble with salvation.

Let the saints be joyful in glory;
Let them sing aloud on their beds.
Let the high praises of God be in their mouth,
And a two-edged sword in their hand,
To execute vengeance on the nations,
And punishments on the peoples;
To bind their kings with chains,
And their nobles with fetters of iron;
To execute on them the written judgment—
This honor have all His saints.

Praise the Lord!

Revelation 1:16
“He had in His right hand seven stars, out of His mouth went a sharp two-edged sword, and His countenance was like the sun shining in its strength.”

The Cancer of Doubt

Cancer comes unannounced. We critique, we wonder, we question. Doubting seems natural. Doubt is wavering back and forth, staggering. Don’t let doubt be your master! “For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says.” (Mark 11:23) Listen to this service and message, delivered by Dr. Dowdy of Lion of Judah Worship Center on November 22, 2015. Learn to overcome by faith.

Why Confession Brings Possession

This principle is often used by people trying to get material blessings (as in money, money, money). However, God won’t give us something we’re not ready for. God is not holding out on you.

What is it that we are confessing? What is it we are seeking to possess? We are confessing the word of the living God, that we may possess the manifestation of the promises of the living God that are already in His Word. Yet we don’t always possess all of the things God has prepared for us. And He says it has not even entered into the heart of man the things He has prepared for us.

These are the key scriptures that are used in the principle that confession brings possession: Romans 10:9–10, Mark 11:23–24, Matthew 21:21, and Genesis 1:3, 6, 9, 11, 14, 20, 24, 46.

“…If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.” Romans 10:9–10 NKJV

Listen to this service and message, delivered by Dr. Dowdy of Lion of Judah Worship Center on November 15, 2015, that you may gain knowledge and insight in this principle, that you may exercise your faith and possess all that God has for you!
