Impossible Situations Amended

Transforming impossible situations into possibilities does not come from our own strength or ability or intellect—it comes by the word of the living God! Let us become confident in God and his word, and thereby become transformers. What we speak in the natural realm will bring about things in the spiritual. God’s word makes these things clear, and this message delivered by Dr. Dowdy on July 15, 2018, shows the way to understand and walk in victory over apparently impossible situations. Be blessed!

Luke 1:37 and Matthew 11:20 AMP (see also Mark 11:23, Luke 17:6, and 1 John 5:14):
For with God nothing [is or ever] shall be impossible.”
He answered, “Because of your little faith [your lack of trust and confidence in the power of God]; for I assure you and most solemnly say to you, [c]if you have [living] faith the size of a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and [if it is God’s will] it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you.”

What Things?

What things are we to forget? We need to forget some things before we can press forward. What things? Things from the past that try to control you future. (This doesn’t mean we forget everything.) Listen to this message delivered by Dr. Dowdy on October 1, 2017, highlighting God’s word from Philippians 3:13–14.

13 Brothers and sisters, I do not consider that I have made it my own yet; but one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and reaching forward to what lies ahead, 14 I press on toward the goal to win the [heavenly] prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. —Philippians 3:13–14 AMP

12 Not that I have already attained, or am already perfected; but I press on, that I may lay hold of that for which Christ Jesus has also laid hold of me. 13 Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, 14 I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.
15 Therefore let us, as many as are mature, have this mind; and if in anything you think otherwise, God will reveal even this to you. 16 Nevertheless, to the degree that we have already attained, let us walk by the same rule, let us be of the same mind. —Philippians 3:12–16 NKJV

Releasing the Burden–Removing, Yoke–Destroying Power of God, Part 2

We have been given the authority to release the burden–removing, yoke–destroying power of God! Spiritual burdens come to destroy our faith, weaken our belief in Jesus, and steal our joy. How can we walk the faith walk God calls us to? We must believe that we are set free by the completed work of Jesus. Jesus paid the price so that we would no longer be slaves, slaves to sin. We must receive it. We have to enforce it. Listen to this message delivered by Dr. Dowdy on August 20, 2017, with key verses Acts 10:38 and 2 Corinthians 6:14 NKJV:

God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him. —Acts 10:38

Do not be unequally yoked together with unbelievers. For what fellowship has righteousness with lawlessness? And what communion has light with darkness? —2 Corinthians 6:14

Releasing the Burden–Removing, Yoke–Destroying Power of God, Part 1

We will look at how we have been given the authority to release the burden–removing, yoke–destroying power of God! Spiritual burdens come to destroy our faith, weaken our belief in Jesus, and steal our joy. What excuses are we giving for not living with the power God gave us? Unbelief will stop the power of God to work on our behalf. How can we walk the faith walk God calls us to?

Listen to this message delivered by Dr. Dowdy on August 13, 2017, with key verse Acts 10:38 NKJV:

God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him.

The Suddenly God

Sometimes it feels like we are “waiting on God” for a long time, so much so that we may be tempted to give up on the good thing God has planned for us. Jesus told the disciples to stay in the city until the promised gift came. When God suddenly invades the mundane, we can count on change. Listen to this message delivered by Dr. Dowdy on November 6, 2016, with key Scripture Acts 2:2.

And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. —Acts 2:2 NKJV

Nehemiah—A Man of Compassion: Nehemiah Prays for His People

When we have been given an assignment from God, we have to work with all diligence and perseverance to carry out this assignment, even in the face of opposition. Listen to this message delivered by Dr. Dowdy on November 6, 2016, based on Nehemiah 1:4.

So it was, when I heard these words, that I sat down and wept, and mourned for many days; I was fasting and praying before the God of heaven. —Nehemiah 1:4 NKJV

Faith vs. Circumstances

Faith and circumstances are at odds—they are not on the same page. Faith can change circumstances. How do we keep the balance of power in faith (over circumstances)? Listen to this message delivered by Dr. Dowdy on April 3, 2016, based on Romans 4:19–20, regarding Abraham: “Without weakening in his faith, he faced the fact that his body was as good as dead—since he was about a hundred years old—and that Sarah’s womb was also dead. Yet he did not waver through unbelief regarding the promise of God, but was strengthened in his faith and gave glory to God.”
