MY THOUGHTS DEFINE ME –OR– I AM AS I THINK
In this Message we delved even deeper into the process of thinking and how our lives are channeled by the mindsets we operate in. This Message brings us face to face to the fact that sometimes when we think God has turned off His listening device, it may be the strongholds set up in our own minds.
Proverbs 23:7 tells us, “As a man thinks in his heart so is he!” What are the thoughts that live in our hearts? How do they control us? In Matt. 12:34-37, Jesus speaking about the connection of the heart/mouth. “From the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks.” But what happens when there is disunity between the two as in our scriptural text? He is saying one thing in his heart, but with the lips another voice is heard. How many times have we played that role, in our mind a different conversation was happening than the one spoken from our lips.
God looks on the contents of the heart (the inner man), the real person, hence our scriptural text, As a man thinks in his heart…
We must take the Word of the living God and cleanse the contents of our hearts. See Matthew 15:19, then listen to Jesus describe those who shall see God, the pure in heart! How does the contents of the heart change? When we change from the kingdom of darkness to the kingdom of Jesus, then we must take the Word and clear out the contents of the previous owner, planting the pure, undefiled Word of the living God. See Psalm 51:10.
When the Psalmist stated in Psalms 139:14 that we are fearfully and wonderfully made…created. Let us briefly return to the first Message on Bondages of the Mind. There we learned of the connection between the mind (subconscious) and heart. The Holy Spirit relays data from the throne to our reborn spirits, there it is transferred to the eyes of our understanding (mind), to be placed in the heart-the labe-the center of our being. However the eye gates and ear gates also act as portals that deposit contents into our hearts.
Take your time and muse over this and the following Message—as I Think in My Heart, so am I!
Proverbs 23:7 NKJV
For as he thinks in his heart, so is he.
“Eat and drink!” he says to you, but his heart is not with you.
Listen now: The service has been separated into three parts, like a delectable meal prepared specially for you. Be blessed!
Healing and Deliverance
Foundation Scripture for LOJWC Ministry:
“For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says.” Mark 11:23
What We Believe:
We believe in God, the Father, Almighty, and in Jesus Christ, his only begotten Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried. On the third day he rose again according to Scripture. He ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of God the Father, from whence he shall come to judge the living and the dead. We believe in the Holy Spirit, the third person of the God-head, who revealed himself on the day of Pentecost. We believe in the gifts of the Spirit and their continuous operation in the body of Christ. And we believe in one holy, universal, and apostolic church. Amen.
We conduct spiritual warfare. It begins with us as we speak God’s word and speak to our bodies, minds, and emotions. Therefore we make a faith confession which says: “Satan, in the Name of Jesus, I declare this body a sickness-disease-free zone. Every germ, virus, bacterium, etc., that touches this body dies instantly in the name of Jesus, who bore my sicknesses, carried my diseases, and by whose stripes I have been healed. Therefore I command life into every cell in this body, I receive healing for my emotions from every past embedded hurtful, fearful memory. I speak active deliverance from the law of sin and death, according to the finished works of Jesus the Christ, the anointed and His anointing.”
