Sins of the Heart, Part 2

Sins of the Heart, Part 2

What is the “heart” of a human as described in the Bible? A heart is a separate part of our souls. Our hearts have become repositories for sin and sinfulness. The human spirit and heart are different. While the human spirit is different than the soul, the heart and mind are part of the soul. Their functions overlap.

We are looking at sins of the heart, the things which defile us, which come out of the heart. Believers struggle with righteousness in actions as they try to live up to a higher standard. In Matthew 15:19, Jesus speaks about the heart and what comes out of it. As we come to God for cleansing of our hearts, we work with God in the process.

How do we cleanse our heart? By applying the blood of Jesus, by speaking God’s word. It is God’s desire that our hearts are pure. Our hearts are pure when we have deleted all of the things that defile us and make us unclean before God.When God begins the process of cleansing in a born-again believer, we begin to see changes, we can forgive from the heart level. When we get to the place where our hearts are more under the control of the Holy Spirit, we are able to receive more wisdom, understanding, and enlightenment, because the toxic debris in our hearts is no longer operational. Key Scripture
Genesis 6:5 NKJV
The LORD saw how great the wickedness of the human race had become on the earth, and that every inclination of the thoughts of the human heart was only evil all the time. The LORD regretted that he had made human beings on the earth, and his heart was deeply troubled.

Healing–Deliverance

Foundation Scripture for LOJWC Ministry:

For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says. Mark 11:23

What We Believe:

We believe in God, the Father, Almighty, and in Jesus Christ, his only begotten Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried. On the third day he rose again according to Scripture. He ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of God the Father, from whence he shall come to judge the living and the dead. We believe in the Holy Spirit, the third person of the God-head, who revealed himself on the day of Pentecost. We believe in the gifts of the Spirit and their continuous operation in the body of Christ. And we believe in one holy, universal, and apostolic church. Amen.

Faith Confession:

We conduct spiritual warfare. It begins with us as we speak God’s word and speak to our bodies, minds, and emotions. Therefore we make a faith confession which says: “Satan, in the Name of Jesus, I declare this body a sickness-disease-free zone. Every germ, virus, bacterium, etc., that touches this body dies instantly in the name of Jesus, who bore my sicknesses, carried my diseases, and by whose stripes I have been healed. Therefore I command life into every cell in this body, I receive healing for my emotions from every past embedded hurtful, fearful memory. I speak active deliverance from the law of sin and death, according to the finished works of Jesus the Christ, the anointed and His anointing.
