Three Crucifixions of Believers
You may have never heard that as believers in Christ Jesus we were also crucified with him. Look in the book of Galatians. In the first crucifixion, we were crucified with Christ that the body of sin may be done away with, so that we may become new creations. (See Gal 2:20, 2 Cor. 5:17.) We no longer have to be slaves to sin. Death no longer has dominion over us. The second crucifixion involves crucifixion of ungodly passions and desires. For more insight, read Ephesians 2:2-3 and Romans 6. The third crucifixion we glory in is that the world has been crucified to the us, and we to the world. This is beyond not smoking, drinking alcohol, going to the club, etc. Those things involve outward appearances. This is about being set free from the sin nature. Since we have been set free, the things operating under the sin nature should not be operating in us. Sin and power try to overcome us, but we have been redeemed. In that redemption, everything we need to live a life that is pleasing and acceptable to God is available to us, including the armor of God. (See Eph. 6:10-18) We have even been given the mind of Christ. For more insight, listen to this message delivered by Dr. Dowdy on April 12, 2020.
Key Scripture Galatians 2:20, 5:24, 6:14 NKJV
2:20 I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.
5:24 And those who are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.
6:14 But God forbid that I should boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world.

Foundation Scripture for LOJWC Ministry:
“For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says.” Mark 11:23
What We Believe:
We believe in God, the Father, Almighty, and in Jesus Christ, his only begotten Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried. On the third day he rose again according to Scripture. He ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of God the Father, from whence he shall come to judge the living and the dead. We believe in the Holy Spirit, the third person of the God-head, who revealed himself on the day of Pentecost. We believe in the gifts of the Spirit and their continuous operation in the body of Christ. And we believe in one holy, universal, and apostolic church. Amen.
We conduct spiritual warfare. It begins with us as we speak God’s word and speak to our bodies, minds, and emotions. Therefore we make a faith confession which says: “Satan, in the Name of Jesus, I declare this body a sickness-disease-free zone. Every germ, virus, bacterium, etc., that touches this body dies instantly in the name of Jesus, who bore my sicknesses, carried my diseases, and by whose stripes I have been healed. Therefore I command life into every cell in this body, I receive healing for my emotions from every past embedded hurtful, fearful memory. I speak active deliverance from the law of sin and death, according to the finished works of Jesus the Christ, the anointed and His anointing.”
