The Authority Wielded by Faith
There are only two places in the New Testament where we find Jesus marveled. Jesus marveled at the centurion’s faith, as found in Matthew chapter 8. (See verses below.) The only other place where it is written that Jesus marveled was in Nazareth, where he could do no mighty works because of the people’s unbelief. What was the centurion saying when he told Jesus that His word was enough? He recognized Jesus’ authority. Conversely, those in Nazareth didn’t recognize Jesus’ authority. Our faith can wield authority over sickness and disease, over poverty and lack, over all things that aren’t of God.
Our faith should have a pattern. It should be patterned after those who have obtained the promises through faith and patience. We see this in the 11th chapter of Mark, as well as modern examples like Smith Wigglesworth, John G. Lake, Andrew Murray, and E. W. Kenyon. Their faith changed the landscape of their location. I challenge each of us to grow our faith to the point where it is wielding authority. It’s the authority of faith that pulls down the mountains. Sometimes our faith has not yet come to strength. There is a level where our faith is ready. For more insight, listen to this message delivered by Dr. Dowdy on March 22, 2020.
Key Scripture Matthew 8:8–10 NKJV
8 The centurion answered and said, “Lord, I am not worthy that You should come under my roof. But only speak a word, and my servant will be healed. 9 For I also am a man under authority, having soldiers under me. And I say to this one, ‘Go,’ and he goes; and to another, ‘Come,’ and he comes; and to my servant, ‘Do this,’ and he does it.”
10 When Jesus heard it, He marveled, and said to those who followed, “Assuredly, I say to you, I have not found such great faith, not even in Israel

Mark 11:25–26 NKJV
25 “And whenever you stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive him, that your Father in heaven may also forgive you your trespasses. 26 But if you do not forgive, neither will your Father in heaven forgive your trespasses.”
Special Healing Prayer: Lion of Judah Worship Center includes time for Holy Spirit directed prayer. Today’s prayer is for protection from infections and viruses. The entire service has been separated into three parts. We encourage you to enjoy all three, as a three-course meal!
Foundation Scripture for LOJWC Ministry:
“For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says.” Mark 11:23
What We Believe:
We believe in God, the Father, Almighty, and in Jesus Christ, his only begotten Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried. On the third day he rose again according to Scripture. He ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of God the Father, from whence he shall come to judge the living and the dead. We believe in the Holy Spirit, the third person of the God-head, who revealed himself on the day of Pentecost. We believe in the gifts of the Spirit and their continuous operation in the body of Christ. And we believe in one holy, universal, and apostolic church. Amen.
We conduct spiritual warfare. It begins with us as we speak God’s word and speak to our bodies, minds, and emotions. Therefore we make a faith confession which says: “Satan, in the Name of Jesus, I declare this body a sickness-disease-free zone. Every germ, virus, bacterium, etc., that touches this body dies instantly in the name of Jesus, who bore my sicknesses, carried my diseases, and by whose stripes I have been healed. Therefore I command life into every cell in this body, I receive healing for my emotions from every past embedded hurtful, fearful memory. I speak active deliverance from the law of sin and death, according to the finished works of Jesus the Christ, the anointed and His anointing.”
