Focus Promises for 2019
God’s Spirit dwells in our reborn spirits to lead us into all truth. He knows the soul-shattering events that send us reeling. He also made provisions for whole life soul restoration. We died with Christ on the cross that we may become partakers in his divine nature. In this first Sunday in 2019, focused promises include all things that God knows we need. For life in these United States, we need finances for education, affordable housing, money to maintain property and pay taxes, utilities, food, and clothing. These are the things that create fear, doubt, and unbelief in us, as we struggle between faith in God’s word and the tsunami of situations that is brewing and heading in our direction. Our confidence in God’s promises must be strong enough to carry us through. If we plant these three scriptures—speak them, believe them, and receive fruit manifestation—we will have an outstanding year that is promise-based and will produce fruit. Listen to this message delivered by Dr. Dowdy on January 6, 2019, and be blessed!
2 Peter 1:3–4 AMP
3 For His divine power has bestowed on us [absolutely] everything necessary for [a dynamic spiritual] life and godliness, through true and personal knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and excellence. 4 For by these He has bestowed on us His precious and magnificent promises [of inexpressible value], so that by them you may escape from the immoral freedom that is in the world because of disreputable desire, and become sharers of the divine nature.
2 Corinthians 1:20 AMP
For as many as are the promises of God, in Christ they are [all answered] “Yes.” So through Him we say our “Amen” to the glory of God.
John 14:13 AMP
And I will do whatever you ask in My name [as My representative], this I will do, so that the Father may be glorified and celebrated in the Son.
Additionally included: Jeremiah 17:6–7 AMP
“For he will be like a shrub in the [parched] desert; And shall not see prosperity when it comes, But shall live in the rocky places of the wilderness, In an uninhabited salt land. Blessed [with spiritual security] is the man who believes and trusts in and relies on the Lord And whose hope and confident expectation is the Lord.”
Special Healing Prayer: Lion of Judah Worship Center includes time for Holy Spirit directed healing prayer. Today’s prayer time focuses on healing from mental illnesses and brain disorders. The entire service has been separated into three parts. We encourage you to enjoy all three, as a three-course meal!
Foundation Scripture for LOJWC Ministry:
“For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says.” Mark 11:23
What We Believe:
We believe in God, the Father, Almighty, and in Jesus Christ, his only begotten Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried. On the third day he rose again according to Scripture. He ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of God the Father, from whence he shall come to judge the living and the dead. We believe in the Holy Spirit, the third person of the God-head, who revealed himself on the day of Pentecost. We believe in the gifts of the Spirit and their continuous operation in the body of Christ. And we believe in one holy, universal, and apostolic church. Amen.
We conduct spiritual warfare. It begins with us as we speak God’s word and speak to our bodies, minds, and emotions. Therefore we make a faith confession which says: “Satan, in the name of Jesus, I declare this body a sickness-disease-free zone. Every germ, virus, bacterium, etc., that touches this body dies instantly in the name of Jesus, who bore my sicknesses, carried my diseases, and by whose stripes I have been healed. Therefore I command life into every cell in this body, I receive healing for my emotions from every past embedded hurtful, fearful memory. I speak active deliverance from the law of sin and death, according to the finished works of Jesus the Christ, the anointed and his anointing.”
